This project integrates a head-up display (HUD) into a motorcycle helmet, providing key information like navigation and speed without obstructing the rider's view. A companion app allows users to customize the display and control the system's settings.
This project retrofits any bicycle with smart safety features like turn signals and brake lights, all controlled by an Arduino. A handlebar display shows speed and signal status, with the entire system powered by a hub dynamo.
There's something deeply satisfying about transforming a static design into something interactive and alive. During my IoT studies at HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd, I discovered my passion for working at the intersection of design and development. I focus on building prototypes because they unlock a product's true potential. When users can actually feel and engage with an idea, it reveals both unexpected opportunities and critical issues that only real interaction can discover.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me planning my next travel adventure, clearing my mind with a jog, playing a competitive match of padel, or unwinding with some gaming.
September 2024 - February 2025
I took full technical ownership of the product’s frontend, architecting and building the platform from scratch using React and Next.js. I transformed a conceptual idea into a fully functional MVP, working directly with the founder to drive design and technical strategy. The resulting product was successfully deployed at major live events, handling high-concurrency usage with over 1,000 attendees across simultaneous stages.

Tasked with enhancing the company’s website, I implemented two key features. Using Next.js and Leaflet, I built an interactive map that displays store locations and dynamically adjusts based on user inputs. Additionally, I redesigned a core form by developing custom components with geolocation functionality, significantly improving address accuracy and location-based search capabilities.

Contributing to the modernization of the company's intranet, I worked with the Sulu CMS, React, and Symfony. My core responsibilities involved developing custom React components, applying CSS styling, and seamlessly integrating them into the existing Content Management System.

For ten months, I supported kindergartens and schools in Alberschwende, supervising children aged 4 to 14. Beyond assisting with lunchtime care and group activities, I helped facilitate daily routines in an educational setting. This rewarding experience provided deep insights into social work and fostered a lasting appreciation for the dedication required in childcare and education.

This role served as my introduction to modern web development, specifically through internal projects focused on React.js. Gaining a solid grasp of React fundamentals, I realized how contemporary tools can fundamentally transform the architecture and conceptualization of user interfaces.

Focusing on my high school thesis, I executed several complex technical tasks including the creation of a custom Magento 2 module and the integration of blockchain technology. I programmed a Smart Contract using Solidity to ensure secure and transparent data storage, effectively bridging e-commerce with decentralized tech.

Proficient in both coding and design, I specialize in crafting intuitive interfaces for IoT devices, applications, and websites. During my studies, I have realized numerous projects across various disciplines. The HfG places a strong emphasis on practice-oriented learning; instead of traditional exams, academic assessment is based on practical semester works, allowing me to build a diverse and tangible portfolio.

At HAK Digital Business Bregenz, I received a broad general education alongside fundamental economic training. I chose the specialized "Digital Business" track, where I received intensive instruction in programming and design. This allowed me to develop my first games and creative software projects while still in high school.
